MAW Group, the second largest automobile conglomerate in Nepal, has announced a strategic partnership with Seres Group, one of the largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers in China, to launch Seres' electric vehicles in the Nepalese market.
Starting in the third quarter of 2023, Seres will launch a range of electric SUVs, electric sedans and mini EVs in Nepal, through MAW's extensive network of dealerships. Seres Group is famous for its popular DFSK and SERES brands. Similarly, Seres group is China's first company that independently controls the world's leading three-electric core technology, and is also a domestic leading vehicle manufacturer that perfectly integrates intelligent network connection systems and engineering manufacturing.
Similarly, Zhou Ligang, Deputy General Manager of the overseas import and export corporation, added, "SERES is committed to building an automotive ecosystem with everything connected on a global scale, and we are pleased to partner with MAW Group to bring our EVs to the Nepalese market. We are confident that our high-quality and efficient EVs will be well received by Nepalese consumers, and we look forward to working with MAW to drive the adoption of EVs in Nepal."
Seres 3:
The Seres 5, on the other hand, is a sporty premium electric SUV. Powered by an 80 kWh LFP battery as standard, the Seres 5 provides an NEDC range of 500 kilometres for the standard 2WD version. It features two electric motors with a total output of 585hp and 1040 Nm torque. The car does 0-100km/h in less than 3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.
