MAW To Bring Seres' Electric SUVs, Sedans and Mini EVs To Nepal

MAW Group, the second largest automobile conglomerate in Nepal, has announced a strategic partnership with Seres Group, one of the largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers in China, to launch Seres' electric vehicles in the Nepalese market.

Starting in the third quarter of 2023, Seres will launch a range of electric SUVs, electric sedans and mini EVs in Nepal, through MAW's extensive network of dealerships. Seres Group is famous for its popular DFSK and SERES brands. Similarly, Seres group is China's first company that independently controls the world's leading three-electric core technology, and is also a domestic leading vehicle manufacturer that perfectly integrates intelligent network connection systems and engineering manufacturing.

Commenting on the partnership, Vishnu Kumar Agrawal, Chairman of MAW Group, said, "We are thrilled to join forces with SERES Group and bring their state-of-the-art EVs to Nepal. At MAW, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the latest and most innovative automotive products, and SERES' EVs are a perfect fit for this mission. Seres currently offers the Seres 3 electric subcompact SUV and Seres 5 sporty premium electric SUV in the international market.

Seres 3:

The Seres 3 is an electric subcompact SUV powered by a 53.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with fast charging capability to generate a maximum of 163 hp of power and torque of 300 Nm. The Seres 3 claims an electric range of 405 kilometers on a full charge.In terms of features, it comes loaded with a 10.25-inch multimedia system, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, three drive modes, electrically adjustable seats, automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof, among others. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, lane-departure warning alarm, electric-brake force distribution, hill-descent control, hill Ascend control, auto-hold HAC, etc.Seres 5:

The Seres 5, on the other hand, is a sporty premium electric SUV. Powered by an 80 kWh LFP battery as standard, the Seres 5 provides an NEDC range of 500 kilometres for the standard 2WD version. It features two electric motors with a total output of 585hp and 1040 Nm torque. The car does 0-100km/h in less than 3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

The Seres 5 supports vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) output as well.
